Some businesses begin with investors, business plans and years of experience.
Velera began with a family.
A family that came from humble beginnings and is still working toward the life we hope to build.
We are still raising our children. Still working our everyday jobs. Still learning how to run a business. Still making mistakes, solving problems and discovering that building something of your own comes with far more obstacles than anyone tells you about.
And at the same time, life has reminded us that family doesn't only mean taking care of the generation that comes after us.
It also means being there for the generation that came before us.
We have reached that chapter of life where we find ourselves standing somewhere in the middle — raising our children and helping them build their futures, while also standing beside the parents who once did the same for us.
That responsibility has changed the meaning of what we are trying to build.
Velera isn't simply about owning properties or creating a business.
It's about creating something that can help us take care of the people we love — today and someday long after us.
We aren't building it from a place of abundance.
We're building it little by little.
Through long days, sacrifices, unexpected expenses, difficult moments, lessons learned the hard way and the stubborn belief that tomorrow can be better than today if we keep moving forward.
There have been setbacks.
There will probably be more.
But we keep building.
Our children are growing while Velera grows. Our parents are part of the reason we keep pushing forward. And we are somewhere in between — learning how to be parents, children, partners and entrepreneurs all at the same time.
Maybe that's why every reservation means more to us than simply another night booked.
When someone chooses Villa Velera or Casita Velera, they are trusting something that our family has worked incredibly hard to create.
They may never know everything happening behind the scenes.
They don't need to.
We simply want them to arrive, open the door, feel comfortable and create memories of their own.
Because while our guests are making their memories inside these homes, they are quietly helping our family build ours.
We don't know where this journey will ultimately take us.
Our story isn't a success story written from the finish line.
It's the story of a family still working toward one.
Still raising our children.
Still standing beside our parents.
Still learning.
Still getting things wrong sometimes.
Still getting back up.
Still dreaming.
And still building.
One home, one guest and one step at a time.
Welcome to our homes.
Welcome to our family story.
Welcome to Velera.
Two destinations. Three generations. One story still being written.
